independent countries. Even though Ukraine was once a part of the Soviet Union, that doesn't necessarily mean that just
because one of the principle owners of a particular dating service lives in Moscow, Russia, that he or she will know

beautiful. When you fall in love with a Ukrainian lady you'll be falling in love with the qualities that make these women so
romantic and appealing to foreign men.
 And when you finally decide to travel to Ukraine to meet your favorite lady, you'll be at ease knowing that you're travelling
with experience that you can only get from a company which knows Ukraine inside and out.

    Ukrainian women exhibit the same characteristics that American women possessed one hundred years ago, before feminism
hit the scene. Watch a movie like The Age of Innocence or any other film set during the Victorian era or around the
turn-of-the-century and you'll see what I mean. Women in these movies are very proper and very feminine, which is exactly
how Ukrainian women are today. They act like women and they make a man feel like a man. They are well educated and
very well versed in classical arts. They love museums, literature, art exhibits, classical music, ballet, opera, and theater. At
the same time they very familiar with American pop culture and enjoy activities such as watching movies and dancing the
night away at the hip nightclubs.
 The main role of a woman in Ukraine today is to raise the children and take care of the home, and to most Ukrainian women
these responsibilities are not chores, but heartfelt pleasures. Nearly every woman listed in our catalog wrote in their letter
that they loved children and that the family was the most important aspect of their life. They wanted a kind, honest man with
a steady job who would be a good provider. Most love to cook. You don't have to force them to do the cooking, it is
something they really enjoy doing.
 At the same time, they don't want to be house slaves and they won't put up with a superior macho attitude. They can stay in
Ukraine and marry a Ukrainian man if that is all they want. They want the opportunity to develop an independent personality
while contributing to their family. They are very hard working, and if it is necessary for them to work outside the home, they
will be more than happy to do so once they learn English well enough to join the labor force. Many have studied very
diligently in school only to see their education go to waste. There are absolutely no career opportunities for women in
Ukraine. All the good jobs go to men. All the money goes to men. No matter what job a woman gets, no matter how hard she
works, she will always be on the bottom. A woman I knew worked as an office manager and basically ran the entire
operation. But as far as anyone else was concerned, her boss was really doing a great job! I told her that if she worked as
hard in America as she was working in Ukraine that she would be president of the company and make hundreds of thousands
of dollars. Such an idea was beyond her comprehension.
 In return for the joy they bring, Ukrainian women expect men to act as gentlemen. They expect car doors to be opened, good
manners, and respectful attitudes. If your lady friend drops a pen or sheet of paper, pick it up for her. It's hard to get back
into this gentlemanly mode, because once American women became "liberated," most men said "to hell" with being a
gentleman. And now more and more American men are saying "to hell" with American women. Women these days don't
want or need a man's help anymore, and the traditional female responsibilities have been thrown out the window. This is
why the idea of finding a foreign mate is becoming so popular. American men are looking to meet women who act like
women and who will treat them like men.
 In addition to being a more traditional woman, Ukrainian women possess physical beauty that you don't find anywhere else
in the world. It would be incorrect to say that they are prettier than other nationalities of women, because there are pretty
women in every country. However, the difference between American and Ukrainian women comes when physical shape is
compared. You won't find many fat women in Ukraine. Very few have a car, so these women walk everywhere. Most wear
high heels and mini skirts, so their legs are in extremely good shape and exposed for all to see. I couldn't believe my eyes the
first time I was in Kiev. It was a "leg" man's paradise! If you like "diamond shaped" calves, this is the place for you. You
only find bodies like this on American women who work out at the gym. Ukrainian women develop this way naturally.

  As in any country, there are decent, honest women and there are selfish, dishonest women. Ukraine is no different.
Fortunately, as in any country, the dishonest women are a small minority. For the most part, women, and people in general,
are honest, decent people. But it only takes one bad apple to stereotype a group, and foreign mens' fears of "gold-digging"
visa seekers stem directly from this stereotype. Most of the negative stories surrounding these women come from
newspapers, TV shows, or just plain ol' gossip. And we all know that the media only publicizes bad news--murder,
corruption, rape, etc. Nobody seems to care about the good things in the world. So, for every negative story you hear in the
news, there are thousands of positive stories that are never told.
Having personally met with 80% of the women listed on my service, I have no reason to suspect any dishonesty from the
women. On the few occasions that I have had a reason to be concerned about a particular woman, I simply have removed her
from my service. Certainly it is impossible for me to know a woman's true intentions after only a brief meeting. However,
over the years I have personally dated over a dozen of these women, some only for a brief lunch or dinner meeting, and some
for a longer period of time. These women were randomly selected by me--they weren't recommended to me by a friend or
anybody else, they were just women I was attracted to. And from this very small group I never had one negative experience
or found any of the women to be dishonest in any way. No woman even tried to sucker a nice gift out of me. There were
some that I had no interest in simply because of normal character flaws or lack of common interests, but none because of
dishonesty.
 There's always the chance that I just so happened to choose the only dozen honest women on my service. But statistically
speaking, I feel confident enough to claim that nearly all these women are honest and sincere. At the same time I have to
admit that more than likely there are some dishonest women listed as well--on all services, to be exact. I don't know who
they are, but I am sure they exist. It's up to the customer to ask the right questions and determine who is honest and who is
not.
 Also, I know of far more women who have not gotten married when given the chance than I know of women who have
gotten married. The women who declined a marriage proposal simply didn't like the man who was asking. All of these
women do want to find a foreign husband, either to have a better life or because they are fed up with the Ukrainian men, but
they also want to find a foreign husband who they love or feel that they can love. These women have much more to lose than
the foreign man. They are leaving their homes and families. Many must give up a job, a highly prized possession in Ukraine
no matter what the salary. Should they end up not getting married once they travel to meet their fianc?e they will return to
Ukraine unemployed. Finding a new job is not easy. Also remember that these women often don't know much about you. You
could be an abusive nut for all they know. They don't know the foreign laws, they probably aren't fluent in the foreign
language, and they certainly can't defend themselves from an abusive husband. So, as you can see, they are taking many risks
when deciding to get married to a foreign man, something most of them don't take lightly. It's an important decision in their
lives, and most of these women want to make a good decision. For most of these women, visas and rich husbands don't play
a part in their decisions.

   All women who join APRILBeauty know what the ultimate goal of joining the service is--marriage. Needless to say, they
wouldn't join if they weren't serious about finding a foreign husband.
The question now is, "How quickly will they make a decision about getting married?"
 Guys ask this question because they often have two weeks to spend in Ukraine and hope to find a woman who will want to
marry them. Well, the truthful answer to the question is, "Who knows?"
Women are women and all are different. Some may be ready to make a quick decision, some may expect you to spend the
two weeks with them, for you to return home while both parties think about it and continue correspondence, and then for you
to return to Ukraine for a second time. If you have been corresponding by letters and phone conversations for some time
before your first meeting, maybe the woman will be more prepared to make a decision...maybe not. If you have only
exchanged a letter or two, or no letters at all, maybe the woman will not be prepared to make such a quick decision...maybe
she will.
From my experience, the only thing I can say with some certainty is that the older the woman, the more prepared she "may"
be to make a quick decision, though this certainly isn't true in all cases. Any rash decision about getting married is insane no
matter who is involved. Remember, if she is making a quick decision, then so are you. If you ask a woman to marry you after
knowing her for only a few days and she agrees, don't complain if things don't work out. Don't complain if you find out she
just wanted a way out of Ukraine and you were the ticket. You get what you deserve for making an idiotic decision about
how you plan to spend the rest of your life. The more desperate you are to get married, the easier it is for you to be taken
advantage of.

    I can't speak for these women and won't. They stated an age range. If you are outside of this range and still wish to write, it's
your money, your time, and your decision. I'll be glad to have the business.
 From my personal experience, I can tell you that if you are in Ukraine and call up a woman and ask her to dinner, chances
are that she will meet with you if you are at an age near to her request. If she is looking for a man up to 30 years old and you
are 50, she probably won't meet you. On the other hand, if you are mid 30s, she probably will. However, when it comes to
letter writing it's a whole new ball game. Writing takes time and sending the letter takes money, neither of which these
women have much of. Realize that some women have been writing letters long enough to understand that most of these guys
are never going to visit them. Thus, they begin to be more selective and only write back to the guys they are interested in. If
you are handsome, in shape, look younger than you are, or have something interesting to say about yourself, maybe there is a
chance that the women may be lenient. But as I said before, I can't speak for them and make no guarantees. The decision is up
to you.

   In most cases, this is complete nonsense. Other companies tell you this because there are a lot of older guys who want to
meet women who are substantially younger than themselves. Telling the truth is bad for business. It's bad for my business as
well, but I'd rather have no business than to have a bunch of angry, disillusioned customers complaining that I ripped them
off. Life is too short to spend it listening to complaints. I make enough money from happy customers to keep things going. The
extra money isn't worth the hassle.
 I have received hundreds of applications and one of the questions asked of the women is, "What is the age range of the man
you would like to meet?" In almost all cases, a man up to ten years older is acceptable. About fifty percent of the women
will accept men up to fifteen years older. Only a small percentage are seeking men older than this. I will point out that in all
societies there are women who are attracted to older men, so such a woman isn't necessarily just looking for a free ride out
of Ukraine or a rich sugar-daddy. However, I would be sure to get to know such women very well before asking one of them
to marry me.

   We recommend individual travel to Ukraine with prearranged dates with only the women you are interested in
meeting. It's cheaper, it allows you more freedom to do as you please, your tastes in women won't be under the scrutiny of
the other group members, and it's much more pleasant for the women involved. Besides, you only have time for so many
women, so why not spend it with girls you really want to meet.

2. Do include a photo of yourself, and not just any photo. Take some time and put some thought into it. For example, if you are the outdoors type you may want to take it while hiking or biking. The point is to give the women the best possible
representation of yourself. In order to keep the costs of the photos to a minimum, you should consider choosing two or three of your best photos and have color copies made instead of developing a new picture for each reply.

3. Try including a little something extra to let her know she is special. This could consist of a pressed flower, or a picture of you as an infant or a toddler, or maybe a poem written in her native language. The idea is to try and distinguish your response from others.

4. Remember when writing your letter that this woman's native language is not English. That doesn't mean she will not be able to understand your letter, but by keeping it simple you will have a much better chance of successfully communicating with her.
Try to avoid using four or five syllable words, instead of impressing her you will probably just confuse her. Make sure you
neatly print you letter as opposed to writing in cursive. If your handwriting is difficult to read you may consider typing it.

5. Try to keep the initial letter fast paced. You certainly don't want to be discussing things like marriage and what your children are going to look like in your first letter! You may want to tell her a little about yourself, where you were raised, and what schools you have attended. Write a little about your interests, hobbies, and likes and dislikes. Basically, just write about things that you would normally talk about on a first date.

6. Make sure you ask her plenty of questions about herself in your first letter. People like to know that other people are
interested in them and their activities. By asking questions about her she will think that you are interested in her as a person and she will want to respond to you immediately.

7. You may find it useful to do some independent research on the country of origin of the woman you are interested in. Not
only will it impress the woman, but it may save you from committing a gaffe. You must always remember that this woman was raised in a totally different culture than our own. Obviously, it is in your best interest to know as much as possible about that culture.

8. Should you get to the point of wanting to marry the woman you have been corresponding with, we strongly recommend the
services of a reputable attorney who specializes in immigration law. There are various ways of accomplishing citizenship, and each must be explored to find the approach which will be optimal for your situation. We have cursory information on
immigration laws and various VISAS, however this information is intended to serve as an introduction only and must be
supplemented with an attorney who specializes in this area. We have listed a few attorneys who do specialize in this area,
however we recommend that you interview them in order to find the one that you feel most comfortable with.

9. The last and probably most important tip of all is be patient. Consider for a moment how long you have been searching for
that perfect mate, ten, twenty, even thirty years? This is an important process and the results of the decision that you make
will be far reaching and long lasting. Take the time to correspond with many different women before committing to that special one. Hague Legalization Convention Procedure

The United States is a party to the Hague Convention Abolishing the Requirement of Legalization for Foreign Public Documents. The Convention abolishes the requirement of diplomatic and consular legalization for public documents originating in one Convention country and intended for use in another.
